The Second Competitive Selection Process seeks executing entities (operators) with proven experience in installing improved cookstoves and financing their implementation within the scope of the Tuki Wasi Program.

The Tuki Wasi Program (Nice House in Quechua) aims to implement improved cookstoves to replace traditional wood-burning ones to reduce global emissions and improve the well-being of rural communities in Peru.

It aims to install around 60,000 improved cookstoves in vulnerable areas of Peru, and to execute a technical-social sustainability strategy in order to ensure the operability, maintenance, acceptance and proper functioning of the kitchens.

The implementation period of the program, which will have different stages, will be until the year 2031. The installation of the improved cookstoves will be subject to a Monitoring, Reporting and Verification system, which will serve to manage the information and measure the impact of the program on time together with greenhouse gas reductions.

The deadline for the submission of proposals is March 20, 2023 (11:59 p.m. Lima-Peru time).
