Climate & Clean Air Coalition (CCAC)
Road Map for Clean and Improved cookstoves for the Latin American region and support for a clean air strategy in Uruguay.
Summary: The government of Uruguay, aided by the Climate & Clean Air Coalition (CCAC), chose Microsol to support and carry out studies related to clean cooking and heating. The project included:
- A comparative analysis of the rural cooking sector between Peru, Mexico, and Colombia.
- A proposal for a roadmap to improve residential heating in Montevideo, Uruguay.
- A report about the relationship between the short-lived climate pollutants (SLCPs) and rural cooking in Peru, Mexico, and Colombia.

Peru´s Ministry of Energy and Mining (MINEM)
Diagnostic, Evaluation and Analysis study to aid in the design of the rural electrification, cooking and heating NAMA in Peru.
Summary: The first part of the study focused on gathering data about the state of the cooking sector on a national level considering available technologies. The second part of the study was based on greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions analysis, and the design of an action roadmap strategy to create a Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMA) for adequate technologies that would contribute to Peru´s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).
